The Hampton Roads Hispanic Chamber promotes Business to Business Networking through our monthly  After Hours Business Mixer functions. The After Hours Business to Business Mixers are a perfect time to meet other fellow members of the HRHCC.  If you are not a current member it is a great way to learn more about HRHCC and what we can offer you and your business.

After Hours Business Mixers  are held twice a month; once in the Peninsula and once in the Southside. The dates of upcoming Mixers through June 2014 are posted in our events calendar.  Any member in current standing can host one After Hours Business Mixer during the year.   These Mixers provide the ideal platform for our members who host the event to showcase their businesses in front of a live audience.   Members and Guests have the opportunity to visit the host's place of business and learn more about their Products and Services.   Another great benefit of hosting an After Hours Business Mixer is that HRHCC promotes the host and the event via e-mails updates, on Facebook Twitter and LinkedIn.

Business After Hours Hosting Agreement



This AGREEMENT is made on __________________ between Hampton Roads Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HRHCC) - After Hours Business Mixer Committee and ______________________________________________________.

 1.       DATE & TIME OF EVENT.  The Mixer will be held on _______________________ from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at ____________________________ located at ___________________________________________________________.

 2.       REQUIREMENTS.  To host a MIXER with HRHCC you must be a member in current standing. Once your membership status has been confirmed, you may contact and email your request to host a Mixer to Olga Torres at to make arrangements.

 3.       EVENT. 1) The MIXER will be hosted according to a general itinerary prepared by the After Hours Business Mixer Committee.  2) The host is entitled to showcase any promotional materials or displays regarding their business to highlight their product or focus on their area of expertise. 3) The host will give a 5-10 minute presentation about the products or services they offer. 4) Unless otherwise indicated, HRHCC members pay $5 and prospective members $10 to attend the MIXERS and money collected goes directly to the Chamber.

 4.       NOTIFICATIONS.  The After Hours Business Mixer Committee will prepare a flyer for your event and review it with the Host prior to advertising and promoting the event on the HRHCC website events calendar, local newspapers, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and via email with Members and Friends.  HRHCC will set up a welcome and registration table at your event for all of our Chamber members and guests to pay the event fee at the door.  Our email updates are blasted to over 1,000 emails a week prior to the MIXER.  We encourage you to email your flyer or newsletter to everyone on your contact list to invite them to your MIXER.  This not only helps promote the Chamber, but possibly attract new members to the Chamber.

 5.       FACILITY.  1) We suggest the host hold their MIXER at their place of business, however should he location prove to be too small, they may try and find a more suitable location. 2) The host has 10 days to notify the After Hours Business Mixer Committee of their chosen location for their event.  If the host does not have a location by that time, the Committee will try and help them locate a more suitable location. 

 6.       RELATED COSTS.  The host is responsible for all related room, food and refreshment costs.  We suggest that the refreshments provided be light finger food and soft drink items; wine and beer may also be served and are optional.  We also suggest that the host provide at least 1 or more door prizes to hand out during their event, preferably related to their business.  Many times other Chamber members will provide a door prize to showcase their business at our MIXERS.

 7.       FEES.  HRHCC requires a $175 fee to reserve the date of the MIXER at least one month prior to your Event.  Please make your check payable to “HRHCC” and mark on your check HRHCC After Hours Business Mixer and mail to HRHCC Mixer Committee, PO Box 56374, Virginia Beach, VA 23456-9374, along with a copy of this Agreement.  The fee may also be paid with a credit card and you may make arrangements to do so at least one month before the date of the event.

 8.       CANCELLATION.  A $75 fee will be charged upon cancellation and $100 will be reimbursed to the sponsor host.  The After Hours Business Mixer Committee requests you notify them at least three weeks prior to your cancellation to allow us to secure another member to host the MIXER for that month.
